Hired at KPRC
Eric Braate possesses every characteristic that major market management looks for but rarely finds. As they say, the whole package: extreme good looks, charm, humor and a high degree of intelligence. Great on the weather set, great in live shots. He is a serious scientist with a graduate degree in meteorology. Eric holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, where he graduated with honors, and has a Masters in Meteorology from Mississippi State University (full time on campus program). He has the seals from the American Meteorology Society and the National Weather Association. And, was accredited the CBM Certified Broadcast Meteorologist from the AMS (the new program they implemented in 2005). During his term in Jacksonville, he was an adjunct professor of Meteorology.
He is currently available. Eric was the morning meteorologist at WDIV in Detroit. Previously he was the weekend meteorologist at KPRC in Houston.
